God our Father,In our world wars begin and wars end.
In our world economies strengthen and economies weaken.
But You, O Lord are steadfast; unchanging.
Help us to depend on You.

Beautiful prayer. It always pains me to see Christians becoming agitated over affairs of this world. I remember talking with a sister who was panicked over last year's election. I tried to remind her that our God would still be King no matter who won.
Steadfast. Unchanging. Amen!!!
I cannot claim originality. One of our young men (in his mid 20's with three pre-school children) said something along these lines in a prayer yesterday. Needless to say, his heart moved me and helped me to refocus. I thought sharing it would help others.
